An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge. Proverbs 18:15
On the 1st October 2020, the following legislation was applied to all schools:
Schools’ duty to provide remote education
Where a pupil, class, group or small number of pupils need to self-isolate, or there is a local lockdown requiring pupils to remain at home, DfE expects schools to be able to immediately offer them access to remote education. Schools should ensure remote education, where needed, is high-quality and aligns as closely as possible with in-school provision.
Parent and pupil feedback has been very positive about the quality of provision and support.
‘Homeschooling is going well, really like how the school is doing it after speaking with parents from other school I think ours seems to be the ones doing it the better way. Questions are replied to when help is needed with a fast response. Just want to say thank you for doing the best you can for these children.’
‘It has been a very strange time for all the children, but during this lockdown I’m so happy and grateful for the online learning. I feel my child’s learning has had minimal disruption but also, seeing his class friends on screen has been a good thing for his mental well being.
The routine and the structure of the day has been consistent and also lots of added support available if needed ‘
‘Throughout these uncertain times, my experience with HFSM has made me feel very much at ease that my daughter is receiving the help and support she needs, to work both in school and remotely. The teachers are all doing a fantastic job! Online lessons run smoothly and are very engaging, keeping my daughter interested in learning. Keep up the good work… you’re doing amazing!’
‘I just want to say a big thank to the EYFS team, for such wonderful support during this lockdown. The effort you go to, to make sure the children are still able to learn and feel connected to the school is fantastic, and shows how much you care about the children. Even though my child only started school last year, I feel that whenever she is able to come back to the classroom it will be a smooth transition, due to the daily zoom sessions and contact.’
‘Good morning, I just want to say thank you to you all for the support you have been giving us. Home learning is difficult, at times it’s so difficult to get kids motivated but the good thing is that we know you’re all there when we need assistance. Thanks for giving us words of encouragement. Massive thanks to you all at HFSM. You’re all doing great!!’
